Grandma Ingrid’s Cooking School

Grandma Ingrid is a Master Food Preserver who offers hands-on cooking classes at her home in Arroyo Grande, California, along with her daughter, Nicolle Olson. Now, she’ll also be co-hosting the France & Italy Foodie Immersion trip. Here is what she has to say: “I have been canning and cooking for my friends & family for over half a century. I’ve taught hundreds of classes, run many programs throughout the schools & programs throughout the county, been featured in many articles, and consulted to help develop the new Master Food Preserver Program in SLO County. It’s my passion in life to harvest all the wonderful food grown in the soil of the Central Coast and preserve it so it can be enjoyed later with the family around the dinner table. Belen Gurruchaga

South America Trip Host

To know Belen is to love her! She will be co-hosting our Argentina & Chile Cultural Immersion Journey. Belen has a background in agronomy and she worked in the states for several years before moving back home to Argentina to raise her family. She is the owner of La Quinta Resort, and together with her family, runs and hosts her visitors there. Staying true to her agronomic roots, she also grows many varieties of fruit on her property and uses them to make jams and cakes that she serves in the hotel. She has an energetic, warm personality and shares her love of people, nature, art, culture and food with intelligence and passion!
